With Finance nearing the finish line and HCM not far behind, the Project can feel pretty sure that Phase 3 unit testing has accomplished its goal—to see if NSHE’s Workday configuration is on the road to performing as expected. Testers have completed over 97% of Phase 3’s scenarios with only 3% of scenarios failing, which is well under the industry average of 20%. The Project Team will use Phase 3’s findings, along with a copy of the real data from all of NSHE’s institutions, to build the second Workday prototype (P2). The next testing phase is System Testing. It will examine how information flows through the entire Workday system in P2, from single-step processes out to all of the interconnected functions that handle data at every click. System testing is scheduled to begin in mid-November.
